Manchester United have started their preparations for the 2022/23 campaign as Erik ten Hag gets down to work.
There will be a few players arriving later due to international commitments last month, but the majority of the squad are back in action.
The Red Devils will play their first pre-season fixture on Tuesday, July 12 in Bangkok against Liverpool.
It’s not exactly an easy start for Dutchman Ten Hag as he goes up against Jurgen Klopp in what United fans hope will become a battle for silverware in the coming years.
After this clash, the Red Devils then head over to Australia, where they will play at the MCG twice (Melbourne Cricket Ground) and then in Perth.
Ten Hag’s side will face fellow Premier League outfits Aston Villa and Crystal Palace while in Australia before playing Diego Simeone’s Atletico Madrid in Oslo.
Ten Hag’s first match at Old Trafford will be on Sunday, July 31 against Rayo Vallecano.
Liverpool – Tuesday, July 12, 14:00 – Rajamangala Stadium, Bangkok
Melbourne Victory – Friday, July 15, 11:05 – Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne
Crystal Palace – Tuesday, July 19, 11:10 – Melbourne Cricket Ground, Melbourne
Aston Villa – Saturday, July 23, 10:45 – Optus Stadium, Perth
Atletico Madrid – Saturday, July 30, 13:00 – Ullevaal Stadium, Oslo
Rayo Vallecano – Sunday, July 31, 16:00 – Old Trafford, Manchester
Overall, it looks like a good pre-season for the Red Devils and Ten Hag will get to try his team out against a couple of top sides.
Then it is straight down to business, as the Red Devils host Brighton on the opening weekend of the new Premier League campaign.
United then make the trip to Brentford the weekend after before facing Liverpool in the top-flight on August 20.
Red Devils supporters can follow the action from overseas by tuning into MUTV.
There will be live coverage shown to subscribers, whilst there will also be matchday build-up and action on the Manchester United app.
Domestic broadcasting rights mean that supporters living in Thailand and Australia will not be able to follow coverage on MUTV.
But it is possible that some or all of the games in Thailand and Australia will be selected for national TV coverage.
Alan Brazil and Ray Parlour have been wooing audiences up and down the country this year with their hilarious double act, live on stage.
This is your last chance to get tickets for the final show of the tour, in Nottingham.
Both have lived life to the full both in their playing days and subsequently on and after their talkSPORT radio show!
Hear from both legends as they recount tales from the dressing room, from the studio, from their playing days, travels on international duty… and of course Cheltenham!
The shows will be hosted by talkSPORT’s Shebahn Aherne.
